Puppy Scents is more than a traditional kid’s puppy training manual!
When Don began putting his ideas and thoughts together for his kid’s book, he did so with the intention of focusing on three main features in the interaction between kids and their pups.
- EMPATHY – Seeing things from another’s point of view; Puppy Scents is written from the pup’s point of view.
- LEADERSHIP – Being your Pup’s leader; someone he can trust to take care of him and keep him safe.
- FRIENDSHIP – Showing your Pup kindness, love and respect; being a trusted forever friend.
As Don says, “Puppy Scents was written for moms & dads, boys & girls and dog families everywhere.
Puppies are like kids. They are only little for a brief time.
Have fun with your puppy. Learn why they do what they do and know that understanding each other is not only key to making friends with your new pup, but is also important in all your relationships in life.
Give your pup kindness, love. respect and leadership. You will have a dog who not only loves you, but is happy to be your friend and a part of the family forever!”
Don is dedicated to include within the pages of his book, lessons learned in relationships between kids and their pups. Puppies Scents, The Kids’ Guide to Puppy Care, is narrated by our dog, Roc Weiler from the pup’s point of view. Each page is filled with life lessons for every child.
Practice patience while your dog goes through puppyhood; it will go by really fast, you’ll see. So make the most of every day!
